The images on this site are paintings conceived in a layered technique. This means that they consist of different layers, just as at his time Vecellino Tiziano (Titian) used over forty layers in his works. The various layers or stages are used for this site.

Some of the images are available in higher resolution - in general they will pop up by clicking on it. This way you sometimes may find some so called 'extensions' too.
